I've been seeing a lot of fun sensory bins out in the blogosphere, so I decided to try a Tea themed sensory bin. Ella helped me put it together and as soon as I poured the flax seeds in, she was scooping and running them through her fingers. In our bin we have: a small tea set with pot, cups, and saucers; 4 tea bags (I used old ones. There are 2 black tea, a chai, and a mint tea bag); a small metal spice tin; two wooden bowls; a tiny honey jar; Ella added the marbles for sugar; and flax seeds. The flax seeds worked great for pouring and with the tea bags, the bin smelled great.
Ella declared that this was "great fun," and played with a long time. Four teas with sugar, anyone?
