The Blizzard of 2012

 
We hit the Christmas clearance sales and bought the girls some light-up ceramic houses for a winter village. We put a layer of polyfill underneath for snow and then left them alone to play. Later we heard, "Dad we used up all the snow!" And, yes they did! The winter village was never quite the same after the great blizzard of 2012.
